Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant
HCC Infrastructure Co. Ltd. is a leading developer serving India's infrastructure
needs in the areas of Transportation, Energy and Urban Infrastructure. The Company
is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC), a global
engineering and construction player, and a pioneer in urban infrastructure development.
HCC Infrastructure’s focus is on sustainable and responsible infrastructure development
through the Public Private Partnership, which results from its expertise in concept
innovation, risk analytics, construction and operations.
The road portfolio of the BOT arm of HCC has been consolidated under its 100% subsidiary,
incorporated in 2008, HCC Concessions Ltd (formerly known as HCC Infrastructure
Ltd). A lean team of under 50 professionals has grown the Company's asset portfolio
to Rs.5,500 crore. HCC Concessions' current portfolio includes six NHAI road concessions,
of which two are operational.

In the transport sector, HCC is evaluating developments including roads, airports
and mass transit systems. In its energy vertical, HCC Infrastructure is assessing
hydro and thermal power projects, and city gas distribution networks. The company
is also evaluating PPP opportunities in water solutions and real estate related
infrastructure development. In order to scale the business to Rs.30,000 crore, HCC
Infrastructure has created strategic partnerships to bring global expertise to India
in the areas of Transport and Urban Infrastructure. The Company is also working
with Central and State government bodies towards refining the Indian Public Private
Partnership (PPP) model to serve society’s needs in a sustainable manner.
HCC, incorporated in 1926, specializes in technically complex, new age infrastructure
construction in the hydropower, water resources, transportation and nuclear power
sectors. Over the last eight decades, it has executed a large number of India's
landmark infrastructure projects. It has constructed more than 25% of India's hydropower
and over 50% of India's nuclear power generation capacity along with 3,000 km of
roads and expressways and over 170 km of complex tunneling. This is in addition
to hundreds of bridges, dams and barrages. HCC's recent projects include the Bandra
Worli Sea Link and India's largest nuclear power plant at Kudankulam. Currently,
HCC's order book in E&C is nearly Rs.20,000 crore. The group is also developing
Lavasa City, India's largest urban development across a total area of 25,000 acres.
Recently, HCC acquired Karl Steiner AG, the second largest Swiss real estate contractor,
adding world-class building construction capability to its portfolio.
